purchasing maps and guides
I saw a past post on here that highly recommended purchasing the "Touring Club Italiano map of Tuscany" and also a "Michelin Green Guide" book. Can someone tell me where I can purchase these from?
Thanks! |

It is also sometimes available on ebay. And I seem to recall seeing it on Amazon at one time. |
Hi Ray; I have always ordered Michelin or Eyewittness guide books at Amazon.com/ Usually the prices are discounted and many times if you order over a certain dollar amount, it's free shipping. iris1745/dick

I use Globe Corner Bookstore in Boston--see their web page.

THanks for the info everyone!

Ok, I've been looking. Is the Touring Club of Italiano map of Tuscany actually a book? I was expecting to find a detailed road map and am seeing only a book.
Thanks again! |
In my tiny English village, the even tinier local bookshop always keeps a copy of the TCI Tuscany map on display. On its cover is a map of Italy which shows what areas each map covers. He keeps the Tuscany map in stock partly because it's the one most people buy, but also because it helps everyone else decide which map he needs to order. The maps are conventional, fold-out, roadmaps.
I've also got a TCI road atlas of central Italy. This would look like a book on a web page. I shan't be at home when he's open tomorrow. But if you don't get a usable answer earlier, I'll pop in and get the fold out map's ISBN on Thursday. |
It is a very large map at 200K to 1. Look at Amazon too.

Raply:
Would you like to borrow my map? I'll mail it to you if you PROMISE to return it when you return! It's a couple of years old, but I doubt if anything has changed enough to make a difference. |
