Pulitzer Hotel Question
 

Hello. I'm a woman traveling with my young adult daughter and we have decided on a VERY impromptu trip (next week) to Paris and Amsterdam. I've never been to Amsterdam so planning is a bit challenging as I've got almost no time to research.....but trying to go quickly.

Question: I am looking at a few hotel options and know that we want to be in a safe area and probably in the canal belt. The Pulitzer seems delightful but I can't seem to understand the room layout. Kayak/hotels dot com says the twin deluxe rooms have a separate living area. Is this true? This is ideal as I wake up early and sometimes need to make a few calls for work before she awakens. I'd like a space where I can put a little distance between the two of us, in the room.

I'm also considering Estherea, despite the lack of separate space. I'm concerned because the rooms look very small and I've read a review that the area can be loud. Thoughts on that?

The Pulitzer is located in a few adjacent canal houses; rooms are all different. Ask them directly 0 not via Kayak.

It's a great area. I don't know the other hotel.

I have stayed at the Pulitzer and I thought the hotel was fine and well located. Right next door to the Anne Frank house. My room did not have a separate living area but the hotel is made up of several houses so I believe that all of the rooms are different. Have not stayed at the Waldorf Amsterdam. Not a fan of the NYC one.

The Pulitzer is in the '9 straatjes' area, with lots of options for breakfast, lunch;

If you are planning on visiting the Anne Frankhuis check online now if there are tickets for timed entry available. Non timed tickets are only available on the day in late afternoon, and whilst the queue may not be very long at this time of year you do not want to be queueing outside for any length of time in the cold.
The same is true for the van Gogh museum.
