Puglia--Monopoli and Otranto as bases? or add another place?

After getting help from this forum, we came up with this itinerary for 6 nights in Puglia at the beginning of September:

2 nights Otranto (visit Lecce, galatina)
4 nights Monopoli or Poligna a mare (visit martina franca, Alberobello, Locorotondo, Ostuni and maybe trani.

I omitted Matera because I read it involves a lot of stairs which we need to avoid.

Should we cut down on Monopoli and add another place?

Or should we spend only two nights in Monopoli
and two in a masseria inland closer to martina franca?

I loved Lecce and thought it deserved more than a day.

i enjoyed Polignano a Mare and Alberobello and was satisfied with a few hours in each (which means, of course, that I don't know whether I would have enjoyed more time in either or not).

I thought the cathedral and waterfront in Trani magnificent.

Can't comment on the rest of your options as I didn't make it to them. :-)

Enjoy!
