Puglia: Al Fornello da Ricci in Ceglie messapica closed?
 

I have been trying to book a table for later in October, but it sounds like they are closed. Does anyone know what is going on? the are normally closed only for two weeks in September. We wanted to stop on the way from Lecce to the masseria where we are staying near Ostuni. Any help would be appreciated or other recommendations.

I would ask your masseria to check it out, but I hope it is still open.

Tinaindenver: This is off your point, but we arelooking for a rental/masseria in that area for next fall. Where did you end up renting and are you happy with the service?

How are you trying to book it? Most of the time you need to call. A fornello is usually only open at night, so remember the time difference. Having your hotel call is a good idea.

Losaltos: We are staying at Masseria Il Frontoio near Ostuni, but we haven't left yet. I will likely post a report when we return on the 24th.
