puglia - a December visit?

We are thinking of exploring Puglia in late Nov. early Dec. but am now concerned that everthing will be closed up. HAs anyone traveled to this area at this time, and if so, is it to miserably cold, or tolerable? Thanks!

Feliche if you search fodor for "puglia" back a couple of years there are some members who live there year round. Email them

Thanks Biboburglar. I assume you mean search here in the forum two years back?

Yes, I think the debate was in the last 6 to 9 months but as you get older...

Kate, are you around ? (Kate has a house there.)

Hi Feliche - No personal experience of Puglia in Nov/Dec, but I think it would be pleasant enough.

Temps probably high 50's/low 60's along the coast.

Possibly occasionally wet. Certainly not miserably cold ...

Not December, but I visited the area January this year, sunny and warm(around 20C) during daytime, a little bit chilly in the night, still pleasant to walk around. Nothing closed down.
