Puchase a Cell Phone and Sim Card
 

After looking over a few posts, I think that I want to purchase a United Mobile Sim Card when I arrive in Shannon this week. Does anyone have any ideas where i can get one near Shannon or Bunratty? Also, I would need to pick up a very basic compatible cell phone...any ideas where I can do that?

I think you need to read the posts again. If you are just going to Ireland a United Sim is not what you need.

Which way are you headed from Shannon?? If you're westbound on the N-21 (Limerick-Tralee) there's a shop on Bridge St. NewCastleWest called Talknology. They will sell you a cell phone or a sim card for your 4-band GSM Phone.

I don't think its United Mobile, more likely Eircom or Vodaphone.

The Heather Tavern, across the Street and a few doors up toward Maiden Street and the Market Square has a pretty good midday meal.
