public transportation to Rome
 
WE ARE PLANNING A TRANSATLANTIC CRUISE TO ITALY IN MAY, BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT I CANNOT FIND ANY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FROM CINTAVECCHIA - (ROMES PORT CITY) - TO ROME, AND TAKING A TAXI IS EXPENSIVE . PLEASE HELP, VIOLA LOZITO

First, don't use all caps because it's like screaming.

Second, check out Civitavecchia to Rome, not Cintavecchia -- there's a port town called Civitavecchia, which has a direct train connection to Rome. Is that where you're going to be?

The train is the easiest way to get from Civitavecchia to Rome - for about E4.10 to some stations onb a regionale train! You might look at this article.. it might provide some insight: http://tinyurl.com/civitavecchia
