public transport Gabo de Gata
 

I want to do a 2 day walk from Gabo de
gata to Agua Amarga in february. Cant find any current information about public transport for the way back to Almeria. Althoug cant find an internet adress of tourist offices in the area. Anyone who has some information ?

First you have to get the spelling right! It's Cabo de Gata; and if you google that entry you will find many scenic walks (and climbs) in that area described in detail (i.e., how long it will take you, etc.) as well as some 'links' to lodging and travel agencies.

we´re going to agua amarga for new year's eve to a family members' home. i hope i remember to find out for you! the only problem is everything will be closed, as far as official info, goes but maybe a local can tell me about busues. spanish villages are very well connected by buses.

i understand many hotels are closed in that area in winter.( our cousin was going to need a room and was going to have to go to next town.)

Thank you for your answer. I have already an idea which walk I want to do (suggested by lonely planet walking in spain) and also found public transport as far as San Jose.I am just unsure if there is a bus back (as mentioned in the guidebook,because I am doing the walk quite out of season)

we just got back from that area. but was unabel to find out for sure the answer. there are all types of buses on the MAIN roads.. and in worst case, a taxi to nearest bus will not be too expensive.

agua amarga was really closed up yesterday. sorry. and the people i asked who live there don't know for sure what the bus route is.

i am very confident there is a simple way to get around.
