Public Transport and Children

Our children are 9 6 and 1 and we are going to Italy this winter.

Are they free on the public transport? we are staying in Rome, Venice, Florence. Or is there child fares?

Thanks

Yes, they are free,

Roughly translated, (with my comments).

Kids up to the completion of their 10th year travel for free on lines run by Trambus (buses and streetcars), Metro (subway) and CoTral (regional buses), within the territory of the city of Rome (except special lines), when accompanied by an adult.

From the www.atac.roma.it website:

Do you know if the express train from the airport into town is also free for the boys?

On the Leonardo Express from the airport kids under 12 are free traveling with an adult.
