Pub food? Salthill, Dingle, Kenmare

We're looking for suggestions for good reasonably priced Pub food in Salthill, Dingle and Kenmare. We're staying two nights in each town.

maybe this is not a helpful reply but my experience in ireland (and I was in both Dingle and Kenmare but don't remember specific Pub names) was that pub food was pretty generic both in quality and price

Pat99,

Generic(all mediocre?) in taste or the same menu available in all Pubs?

Each pub usually posts their specials on a blackboard. Pub lunches and dinners vary, and can be very good. I wouldn't characterize them as generic or mediocre.

Murphy's in Dingle was good, and so was the Half-Door (not a pub). We had a great lunch there one trip. ((b))

We were in Ireland in October and eat pub food in both Dingle and Kenmare. I agree with other postings, that the food accross the board in both towns is quite good and reasonable.

In Dingle try Lord Baker's, Benner's or Murphy's. In Kenmare: The Purple Heather, Foley's, Mickey Ned's or the Wander Inn.

In addition to Irish Eyes' suggestions, I had some fine fish n chips at O'Donnabhain's in Kenmare. Lots of eating choices there.

I can also second Murphy's in Dingle and if you want to spend a little more walk up a block from the water and try Doyles for great sea food.

In Dingle, Murphy's Pub and John Benney's Pub offer excellent food.
A restaurant with a good name for itself is Novencento's . They also offer excellent pizza as take away during the day
