Provence Web Cams?

Know of any web cams in Provence?

Ronda Apr 2nd, 2006 08:27 PM

OK, I have found several but am checking them out to make sure they are appropriate; have to wait until it is daylight in France but here is the first:

Montpillier:

La place de la Comédie

right now just the street sweepers are going around and around but it is in real time.

This is a general France site but if you would like to do some research on webcams in Provence, and find one, post it here.

Many of them don't work.

Yes, Coco, answering myself. Not a good sign is it!

Well, I would really like to find a lavender webcam in Provence - my Mom sent me a webcame once of corn growing in Iowa and I thought perhaps there might be a lavender cam. No luck yet.

Here is a webcam of the middle of the Rhone River in Avignon (if anyone cares). There are also some links to the Siene in Paris.

The first website you listed above has great pictures. I haven't been able to get the second one to work so well.

Lavandou, several nice views to pick from:

This one has a map that you can click on the cities and see webcams. I especially like the Nice cam - real time. You can see the waves coming in, people walking along the ocean, and cars:

I guess the Mas des Plaines webcam is as close as I am going to get to a lavender cam - just trees:

Not Provence, but Lyon. Nice camera you can control:

OK, Coco, where is Dijon cam?

cocofromdijon Apr 3rd, 2006 09:15 AM

All I can find is http://site.voila.fr/WebCamDijon/ otherwise all the links I can find are broken :-(
Here is another one for you with hundreds! (unfortunately Dijon won't work :-( )

BINGO found some at the following site:

http://www.camscape.com/Europe/France/

I am giving you that address because there are webcams from Paris and other areas of France.

This is about as close as I am going to get to a "lavender cam" I believe:
APT, Luberon valley and Mont Ventoux

Arles:
