Stu will re-look at your itinerary. Have driven parts of it in the past, although it was not lavender season and I was not the driver. Looking over many posts, I feel like I’ll be comfortable with the driving in Provence. Will check out other areas mentioned. Any comments about Goult? Seems like a central location, not too touristy, and several good restaurants.

That's where we stay in the Luberon. We rent a gite about 3 mins by car outside of the center of town - with a fabulous view of Bonnieux in the distance (sorry - I don't disclose info about this gite - don't need any more competition for it). Pick up a walking itinerary of town at the tourist office. There is a small weekly farmer's market and a very popular bar/cafe where lots of people go for the typical French Sunday lunch. Many restaurants - two that we frequent quite a bit (see my itinerary for specifics). Stu Dudley |
I have found what looks like the perfect apartment for me in Goult. It’s right in the village, which is what I wanted. Thanks very much for all of the feedback! Now I can focus on places to stay for my meeting in Avignon and the several days I will spend in Paris....
