Well, I guess it is back to the books!
Gourdon will be checked out for sure.
Stu, you are a goldmine for info.
Now, am hesitating about staying overnight in Moustiers Ste. Marie, but,
heard the restaurant at Le Bastide de Moustiers is superb!??????

We just returned from a week in Provence. All of our trip was planned based on suggestions from this Forum. I agree with Stu, we enjoyed the small villages much better than the larger cities. I am not into shopping so the sites were more important to me. We used Stu's lavender route one day. Unbelievable fields of lavender and sunflowers. We didn't follow it to the tee but drove most of it. We ran out of time because we ended up spending too much time visiting the villages. We drove back from Sault along the Gourges de la Nesque. Beautiful drive although winding mountain roads are not my favorite. We ended up at Villes sur Auzon where it meets back at the D942 and spotted a restaurant as we were driving by that had live music on the patio. My husband decided to stop and have dinner and what a good choice. We ate at Les P'tits Bonheurs and had a nice meal for 20E while listening to blues music.

Our favorite villages were Roussillon, Vaison-la-Romaine, and Les Baux. Gordes has some spectacular views. We also enjoyed our drive up to Mont Ventoux and back down to Malaucene where we had lunch at the cafe across from the park.

Stu definitely was a goldmine of info. Thanks to him and others on this forum we had a wonderful time.
