duh..now you know who not to call for the movies category of "Who wants to be a milionaire" :)

Provence was not humid. It was just HOT! And I live in Singapore, where it's >30C and 80% humidity year round!

Sorry I cant post my pics here. I'm a traditionalist (read tech idiot) and print my photos to compile in my album. Dont own a scanner either.

Obviously a lot of Provence-experts here so I look forward to more advice... Just got back from a lovely trip in Paris. Planning 2004 to go to Provence - a long dream of mine - would like to rent a house for a few weeks to soak up the countyrside, imbibe in the wines, indulge in the food, take a cooking class... you get the picture. Will be looking for a place with room for other couples to visit and help celebrate a milestone birthday.

Any suggestions on which village or town and experience with renting a house in the region?

Hi,
To bev3, I love the town of Uzes. It is West of the Rhone, about 15 miles from Avignon, so technically not Provence, but lovely. We rented an apartment in St. Quentine, outside of Uzes, and drove to all the towns everyone has memtioned, except Aix. The food and wine are fabulous and not expensive if you can do some cooking yourself. I really enjoyed our trip and understand why people love Provence, but it is not my favorite place. My favorite places are little seaside viallages, where you can swim and enjoy enjoy village life. There are some great ones in Italy and Greece. I missed Cassis, maybe it is one of those villages. I guess I will have to back.

The only thing that I dislike is the Mistral....
