Provence--is lavender in bloom?

Can someone in Provence advise if the lavender fields are in full bloom yet (today is June 16). I will be in Provence June 22 for a week, but will spend more time in Paris initially if the lavender isn't in bloom yet.

Late June is the best time.

It is starting now.

My local supermarket rondpoint (sea level) looks good, but my garden lavender is less advanced.

Will be better next week.

BTW , it will be patchy as some areas have had a very late Spring.

The only stuff which might be blooming around here next week are at lower elevations - the season is running later than usual this year, so I wouldn't expect the major growing areas (up on the plateaus) to be in full bloom until at least the second week in July.

I passed one small field down the road from us yesterday and it was not even fully in bloom (still pretty though). Must have been 5 or 6 cars stopped with tourists out snapping photos !!

More to the point, how was the rain - now that torrential rain has left us in the Dordogne to go on to provoke floods in the southeast. Lots of terrible shots of flooded streets, and numerous casualties.
