Provence and the French Riviera

Hi! I'm planning a trip to Provence from Paris sometime October. I was wondering if its possible to take a day trip to the french riviera (nice, monaco, eze, cannes, etc.) from there? Also what are recommended things to do in provence?

From where in Provence? It's quite a large area...

I guess you could easily fly down from Paris to Nice or Marseilles for a day. Try Ryanair for cheapo flights.

Hey pf,

You seem to be planning Munich--> Provence--> Amalfi Coast.

If you gave us the whole itinerary we could be more helpful - eg, how many nights for the whole trip?

I've taken day trips but we used the auto route to save on time.

Your question is unclear. Are you asking whether you can get to the Riviera from Paris in a daytrip, or whether you can get to the Riviera from Provence in a daytrip?

Any paper or internet map will give you distances so you can gauge how far it is. Any guidebook will lay out what there is to do in the area(s).
