Provence (and the Cote d'Azur) again
Well, I'm quite sure that Peter Mayle will not mind (and of course never notice!) that I've borrowed one of his book titles for this report. It is the literal truth, as this is our second visit to both regions. Provence was two years ago right about the same time of year, as reported here at that time (http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...n-provence.cfm). The Cote d'Azur was a shorter visit 6 years ago in December (http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=...g&x=0&y=-run25), so we had the chance to see more, and in better weather.
It's all reported in my usual phototravelogue style, here: http://www.kodakgallery.com/gallery/...8%3A1613811775. In addition, there is also some video available at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t8rzZqt3w0. As usual, I am entertaining any all-expenses-paid offers to return to fill in any gaps in the coverage! |
thanks Mike, your photos are wonderful and special for me as they bring back so many memeries, having stayed at places you photographed.

Thank you for the fabulous photos. I think I want to go again soon.

Mike, thanks for the fabulous pics but especially for such interesting, fun details about each shot. Obviously, a labor of love...
|
Wonderful pictures Mike. I've been to a lot of those places so lots of nice memories rekindled. Those views from Eze are some of my favorite views anywhere. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely shots, SemiMike. Am still going through them. It's easy to watch the Kodak site-is it as easy to upload the pix and captions?
|
Oh my gosh, you have me drooling over the photos. I am on the verge of booking a flight back there, yikes.
|
I super love the photographs. It's like telling a story of your trip in pictures.

TDudette, the Kodak site is very easy to use - the only drawback is the character limit on the picture titles, which is why some of them spill over into the comments box. I would normally just post to Picasa, but selected pictures have become popular with my family when turned into calendars, and a commercial site like Kodak makes that conversion easy.
And latedaytraveler, I guess you can call it a labor of love - but the research I do afterwards in a way lets me take the trip all over again, so the pleasure is in fact all mine. |
Thanks for the great photos of your trip. We are in the planning stages of a trip to the Cote z'Azure next June and these photos have certainly helped us decide which towns to put on our list!
|
A timely find. Your beautiful photos will be of utmost help as we plan our 2012 visit!
