What is your favorite spot in Provence?
Avignon
isle sur la sorgue
The entire Luberon!
Les Baux, Cassis and Arles, 3-way tie.
Lourmarin: small, quiet, great gift shopping, a kitchenware store to die for, Villa St. Louis best B&B around, nearby to Bonnieux, Avignon, St. Remy, Gordes, Roussillon and more, great restaurants, super people watching from curbside cafes. Why am I doing telling everyone this? Instead, I should be there...now.
Check out:
http://groups.yahoo/group/provence for other places.
The Gigondas wine region in Haut Vaucluse or the area around Venasque.
All the little "perched" villages of the Luberon.
I guess Jim said it all!

Chateauneuf du Pape and Lebaux.

What wines and what a view!

US

loving Provence as I doo, I could not choose as each has it's special things. The giant of Provence is Mont Ventoux, cloaked in snow in the winter and in season a unique array of flora contrasts with the stony lunar summit.
The southern side slopes down to the Carpentras plains which contrasts with the less accessible northern side which plunges into river canyons. This is in the Vaucluse. But I love the Var and Luberon for other things and always go back to the Alpilles for a few days at my favorite stop-overs.
