No - I turned down a different boyfriend - who proposed out of nowhere at a completely inappropriate time - way too early in the relationship (which I ended soon after) when we had never even discussed getting married..

The first time this one proposed - not inappropriately too soon - I said "need more time" - although the proposal was lovely and NOT public. (He understood that the answer the first time was due to other life issues - not our relationship.)

I guess I'm past the age of thinking major life moments in public are "cute". So about a year later he proposed again - perfectly, in an incredibly romantic way - and I accepted.
