Proof of Paris's fickle weather
I just idly checked the five-day forecast at
http://www.luxurytravel.com/cityguid.../weather.shtml The high temperature for today and the next 5 days ranges from 68F to 86F. Which is why in any season I don't go to Paris without at least one sweater, and an umbrella! |
Bien sûr!
The same reason the Allies only had a 12-hour window to establish a beachead. |
I suppose if it's 86F in early June, it might well be substantially hotter in July and August once again.
|
Paris Weather is Voluble...Keep changing all the time.
I remember once i had to buy a sweater, the day before i was returning to the USA..Was rainy, cold and damp, this was around the 15th of July.. |
I think it only hit 61 today in NYC, and with the threat of rain, it sure feels cold here. I'm loving it, though.

Fellow Fodorites - bonjour from Paris. The (almost) live weathercast: today is GORGROUS weather here for the first time all week. Previously this week it was merely wonderful with an ocassional shower. My niece, here for the first time, sagely observed that a rainy day in Paris is probably better than a nice day anywhere else.

Anyone living in Europe is aware of this "fickle weather", tell us something new!
|
Just MAYBE not everyone on this board lives in Europe.
Just a thought. Margy |
Well, my dear, people who don't live in Europe, take note:
The northern half of Europe suffers from "fickle weather", don't expect it to be sunny the next day just because it was sunny yesterday! Bring the umbrella. |
