Promiscuity on vacation vs. home
 

I had an interesting lunch conversation with a few colleagues...it seems that some of the "boys" believe that women are more likely to be more sexually liberal on vacation then at home...the rationale being that nobody in their "normal world" would ever find what happens abroad and therefore there is less chance of being labelled "a slut" or some other pejorative term...any truth to this idea?

I think the same holds true for a guy to some extent.

I think that travel can be a liberating experience for both sexes, in many ways.

Perhaps your home town wouldn't know, but you'd still know you were a slut, wouldn't you?

I think 'promiscuity' is FAR more common than most people think, whether on vacation or on business trips, regardless of gender. <BR> <BR>Look Inside: The person who chooses to be more sexually active away from home than at home, is unlikely to be the same person who believes him/her self to be a slut. Otherwise he/she wouldn't do it. Make sense?

I traveled for business for several years and had many opportunities for sampling various wares but <BR>Why settle for hamburger on the road when you can have the finest steak at home(I have usually had the steak waiting for me.) <BR> <BR>

rr yes, there may be some fine hamburgers out there, but keep in mind all of the diseases out there today (mad cow, hoof and mouth) that you could bring home, and the fact that you will always know that you strayed.

At least as far as the original post is concerned, I didn't see any implication that the more-sexually-liberal-women-on-vacation are married or otherwise committed to someone else. <BR> <BR>Even if they aren't married or otherwise committed to someone else, women who sleep with a number of different partners have often been pejoratively labeled with an epithet such as "slut", whereas men usually have not been. <BR> <BR>Interestingly, in my experience, women are just as likely to label other women in this way as men are.

What "the boys" believe is likely to differ from what they actually achieve - eh? I'm guessing y'all hope that "sure, I'll respect you in the morning" works even better on vacation. Well, it works only on women, on vacation, or otherwise, that are pathetic. That they have huge boobs and/or are willing to let you have your way with them is surel of no concern to you. Whats your real question. No matter where you go or when you go there you can almost always find some needs recepticle for you alleged lust eh?

it's just nice not being weighted down with the numerous social "rules" and labels that we have so many of in the USA, in the end it's you and your business what you do..being in europe it is easier to do what you wouldn't do at home and a great deal of that is because no one here knows you or cares enough to sit around and judge you..and not just sexual liberation either..in all ways-

Art, <BR>I am very concerned that you are sleeping with hamburgers, and steaks for that matter. I've looked in all my books and can't find the diagnosis for this aberrant and perverse form of sexual deviance. I suppose it's harmless, as long as you don't wake up smeared in ketchup or stake sauce smelling of onions. This condition is very similar to male patients I have had who claim they have slept with a tart or cupcake. When you get your hamburger on the road do you order it with a Big Gulp? (sorry, that was very bad).

Art, I don't know how to tell you this, but retracting your statements is like putting your foot in your mouth. As I recall, Brian of Atlanta has some choice insights that will "steer" you in the right direction.
