Procida - where to stay?

I'm trying to decide on a hotel and the main thing for me is location location location. I want to be able to walk to and from "town" without feeling too secluded. Been checking out the websites but I can't seem to figure out where "town" is! LOL! Some hotels I've read about are Casa Sul Mare, Celeste, Tirreno. Can anyone recommend these or any others, with particular respect to convenience and location? Thanks!

We stayed at the Hotel Ristorante Crescenzo, Via Marina Chiaoella 33, Procida 80079. It was fine.

I have been wondering about this too, any ideas anyone? We want to be close to the "action" too!

I have just been researching Procida and have found the following: Hotel Tirreno is out of the historic district; it's about a 15-min. walk or taxis can be called. The sea-view garden is across the road, and each "room" comes with a cooking facility, more like an apt. However, breakfast or half-board is available. It looks picturesque and sounds like a very welcoming place. La Casa Sul Mare has 10 double rooms and is right in the historic district - all the rooms have sea views. It is about 3 times more expensive than Tirreno, but in October, that's 95E/day, with breakfast (no half-board available). The Celeste website had so little info. I decided not to pursue it. Go to Procida.net to get the scoop on these hotels, a map of the three areas (Tavola 1 has the sites of Tirreno and Sul Mare) and everything else about Procida. Sounds like a great little island!
