Private tours Granada and Sevilla

Does anyone know of any private guides for the Granada and Sevilla area? We are staying 3 nights in Granada and 4 nights in Sevilla and would like to do day trips. Looks like day car rentals are expensive.

wonderer,
For guides to give you city walking tours in Sevilla and Granada, I can recommend two and they can certainly recommend guides for day trips:

For Sevilla, there's the very reliable Concepción Delgado at
www.sevillawalkingtours.com
she comes highly recommended by readers of Rick Steves.

She and her guides lead several very interesting walking tours of the city.

For culinary/wine tours outside the city, there's A Question of Taste. They conduct tours to the sherry bodegas in Jerez de la Frontera.
www.aqot.com
They also do wine tasting classes at El Rinconcillo in Sevilla and cooking classes with Willy Moya, chef of Poncio.

For a guide to take you around Córdoba (you can reach the city easily from Seville on the AVE or cheaper AVANT trains-45 min.), there;s the official guide, Angel Lucena, recommended by Rick Steves.

For all day minivan trips down to the pueblos blancos (white towns) from Sevilla, contact Paul McGrath, who leads these well reviewed tours-

Also a reco of Rick Steves.

From my Granada file:

In Granada you have Cicerone tours, who lead daily morning walking tours of downtown Granada and the Albaicín quarter.
www.ciceronegranada.com

Something out of the ordinary, for “foodies”, is the new Olive Oil Tour, offered in English, French or Spanish from Granada-a full day tour to discover the varieties of olives, oils, to visit a traditional working mill and to experience new flavors. The tour departs daily, picking participants up at their hotels between 9:30-10 and returning between 3:30-4. The first stop is at a 15th century oil mill in Niguelas where participants learn about the olive oil process and the different varieties and characteristics of olives, then on to an exhibition of more than 300 olive oils at a museum in Vélez de Benaudalla, followed by a tasting and time to purchase in the shop. The visit continues with a drive through the Lecrín Valley countryside and culminates with a paella lunch in a typical Andalusian mesón. Book at oliveoiltour.com.

Hope this helps.

Maribel can you recommend an Alhambra guide? No one seems to know where to go for this question.

I will add that I heard back from Cicerone, recommended by Maribel.

They are asking 170 including VAT for a private tour of 3-3.5 hours duration. this includes the entry into the Alhambra, which I wish I had known before I bought my Alhambra tickets online!

Granada a Pie is asking 180 for a 2.5 hour private Alhambra tour.

Before I fork over such an amount I would like to have a recommendation for a great guide...
