Private Touring Company in Ireland

Posted in Europe forum but forgot to tag Ireland...will post again. Wondering if anyone has used Kennedy Coaches for private driver/guide or has a great experience with another company. ??? Have contacted Conn and Paddywagon but leaning towards Kennedy at this point. Conn is very expensive and Paddywagon seems a bit too rah-rah for us. Thanks!

Private touring company?? Kennedy are Kerry based? never heard of Conn and Paddywagon are for under 50's mindset. Where are you coming into, thinking of touring? party size, activities and number of days?

Yes, Kennedy is out of Kerry...Annascaul, Tralee. Family of 8, with children. 8 nights...Dublin, then south working our way to Kinsale, Kerry, Dingle and back to Dublin. Tony, appreciate your suggestions on some of my other posts. Now just looking for private touring recommendations. Thanks!

As you are concentrating on the south west then Kennedy could be a good option. Buttlers and O'Briens from Cork might also be worth checking..You could start with Go Bus express straight from DUB and start from Cork/Kinsale on day 2.

We used Tenon Tours for our trip in 2011. They are out of the USA but they subcontracted our drivers. They used JJ Kavenaugh & sons for 1 day (plus airport transfers). They were professional and pleasent. The other driver we had for 5 days was from aruralexperience.com. He was the father of the of the owner of this web site. I thought he was fantastic and very helpful. In fact, he was one of the highlights of our trip. I thought the cost was reasonable and they do groups from 2 to 45.

Butlers is great out of Cork, we went with them for two pub tours and they even did a bike tour for our friends.

http://www.butlers-buses.com/ We always had Liam as our driver. We were not demanding, most people were passed out in the back of the bus so he loved us. Those that wanted a blow by blow sat up front to hear him. He would take us off the beaten path and showed us some incredible things. We would stay mostly two nights during each stop. He was a wealth of info and loved seeing Ireland through his eyes.

Thank you all for the great suggestions...most appreciated! We have contracted with Kennedy Coaches and so far have been great to deal with. I'll report back after our trip at the end of September!
