Private tour guides in Lisbon?
Does anyone know any private tour guides in Lisbon or if not, how I would go about locating one?
Thanks. |
We will be there next spring; I would also be interested in this information.

I have never felt a need for more than a good guidebook in Lisbon. Public transport is excellent, taxis are cheap and any good guidebook will have all the info you need.
You could start with this: http://www.golisbon.com/ |
The organization United Europe Free Tours offers a tour of Lisbon, conducted by a student if my experience in Sofia represents the norm. A tip is normally given at the end of the tour, and it provided us a good introduction to each city where it was given. They last 2+ hours.

There's a lot of companies with walking tours in Lisbon (private, small group or shared). Some of them even have food walking tours or themed (jewish itinerary and so on).
If you like history, free tours isn't your thing, as those are not Oficial Licensed Guides in Portugal (with a degree in Tourism or History). If it is just to browse the city, sharing stories, you are good. |
