I used Through Eternity Tours and had Thomas. He was wonderful and after 2 full days with him I felt like he has part of my family. I would highly recommend this company.

Context Rome's prices are about 55-65E/person for 3-4 hours in a group of no more than six. I was very satisfied with each of the tours I took with them (Vatican musuems, Forum/colosseum, renaissance Rome).

I am participating in the Maratona di Roma on March 22'09. My husband and I arrive from Philadlephia in Rome on Friday 3/20 AM, have most of Saturday 3/21,race on 3/22.........sleep,have all day Monday 3/23 and Tuesday AM until we take a train to Orvieto for 1-2 days, then FLorence 2-3 days, Milan to meet my daughter and onto Lake Como for 3 days to relax before going to Lyon, France where my daughter works.

I want a small group tour of the Vatican and ancient Rome. Private tours are too expensive for us in this economy. I've looked into Angel Tours(not serious enough), Context(too erudite for us) Thru Eternity (?) Active Italy (not bad)and the Vatican itself(no)

I'd appreciate some help as I am overloaded with information. Anyone do any of these? Grazie
