Private Guide Service in Barcelona

Hi there

I'm hoping someone could help me with information regarding a personalized guide who can take my family and I on historical walks of Barcelona, who can organise cultural visits in the city and surrounding areas. Interesting, off the beaten track walks.

A smaller, independent company is preferred who can organise a personalized itinerary. Our first time to Spain! any contacts would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Look Up Julia Tours, do a yahoo search for them. They offer all sorts of city sightseeing trips, throughout Spain. They are also located in the U.S..

Have never used them, but was given a high rating by the Spain Office of Tourisim. They have all sorts of escorted trips.

I think that Julia only gives group tours, not private tours, but I could be wrong. Last year we toured with Debbie at [email protected] (only 1 "b" in the e-mail address) and had a great time. She does tours of the city and to places outside of the city too. I highly recommend her. Contact her at [email protected]. Have a great trip.
At least when I went to Barcelona in 2000 I thought Gaudi Club was a waste of time--would reply to some of my emails, but never with anything definitive. They might have organized themselves better by now.
