Private Driver in Rome
 

My husband and I are taking a Mediterranian Cruise the beginning of August and are flying into Rome the end of July for a few nights. Can you recommend a good, dependable company for transportation from the airport to Rome and from Rome to the port. We are in our mid 50's and not really interested in taking the train unless it was a great deal of money less. Also, any recommendations on getting from the port, back to the airport at the end of the cruise. Thanks so much.

We've been more than pleased with www.limoservicerome.com.. 45Euro for airport pick-up and 120E for transport to Civitavecchia...though we've never used them for the dock trip. I don't know if they would do a return to Rome but you could ask Andrea for a price.

I used Andrea with [email protected] ( the same one Jody has mentioned) and YES, They picked us up and took us fromthe airport to ROME and from ROME to Civettevechia . They would have ALSO picked us up at Civettevechia IF we were coming back to Rome or FCO airport.

All they need for the pickup in Civvettevecchia is the time to pick you up from the cruise.

The port situation in Civettevecchia is NIL-ie.JUST ships- NO TERMINAL -No bathroom facilities..etc...NOTHING like US ports in Ft Lauderdale or Miami.

We did a Windsurf cruise from ROME to NICE ...all I remember is we were off the ship by 9am...so you could tell Andrea to make sure someone picks you up by 9am..

Or to make doubly sure, contact the cruise line to see what time the LAST disembarkation is slatted for..They know .....

Andrea is SUPER dependable...I remember it ran us 180,000 lira when the lira was in...no idea what the Eruo price is , but Andrea will be happy to quote a price to you..

It normally takes him 24 hrs to get back to you via email...
