Private Driver in Lisbon
Looking to hire a driver to take me and my 3 adult daughters to a few locations outside of Lisbon on a day trip. We want to go to Obidos and Nazare. We haven't decided where else to go. He has to understand English.
It will be either April 23 or April 24th.
Thanks for the help.

Send an email to the editors and ask that the tag be changed from Spain to Portugal. Then if anyone else is looking for the same info they can readily find it.

Hi everyone
I don't remember the driver's name, I'm sorry! I am pretty sure I got it through the owner of the flat where I stayed, however. I was very glad to have this driver for the afternoon. Nice big E-class Mercedes, spotlessly clean, whisked me to the different spots I wanted to see.
I did write a trip report, if you click on my name it should be near the top of my trip reports.
I LOVED Obidos, by the way. I didn't make it to Nazare - next time.

How freezing will it be?? We're heading to Portugal for 2 1/2 wks and will be arriving in Lisbon on May 16 and should be visiting Nazare on May 19. After that we will make our way north as far as Ponte de Lima and east to Guimares. Time permitting at the end of the trip, we might make our way down to the Algarve (not to swim), just to see. I was hoping for clear skies and moderate temperatures for the trip.

I am not Thin but you will have beautiful weather in May or should have.
We have stayed actually right above the beach in May and were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunsets. This was a little South of Nazare. The beach there was deserted and only people digging for mussels were walking on it.
Enjoy your time on the Lisbon coast and I think you will not want to rush to the Algarve since it is so beautiful.
Of course, this is my biased opinion.

By May 20, it should warm up in Nazare. The temp should be about 65F, but it could be very windy. The water will be ICE COLD. Think New Jersey Shore in May.
I can remember being in Lisboa in early September, the temp being about 90F, then heading up to Nazare and it was 20 degrees cooler. The water was like ice and a very strong wind was blowing.
Nazare is very pretty. Notice all the women who walk around in black widow's weeds.

Thanks for the weather tips. 65F sounds perfect. Coming from Florida which has had a rather cold winter (for South Florida), I'm getting use to that temperature. Water temp doesn't matter to us. Not planning on going in even if temp reached 90F. No longer sun worshippers.
