Private Day Tour

Four of us will spend a day in Dubrovnik as part of a cruise and would like to engage a private vehicle with English speaking guide for a tour. Any Suggestions? What should we be sure to see? Thanks

you won't need a vehicle if you tour the Old Town - no cars are allowed. Being that you only have a day I would suggest you focus on the Old Town - explore its numerous little streets, walk the walls, tour the churches, have gelato on the Stradun, etc - you could probably do it all on your own. However - if you think your time would be best optimized with a guide contact the Croatian Tourism Board or try this web site:

Dubrovnik is a jewel.

And walk the city walls with the audio guide.

Definitely focus on the Old Town. Go around the city walls. Price per ticket for city walls is 50kn ($8). Have lunch at one of local restaurants, i suggest fish restaurant Proto. Check for more practical info here: http://www.dubrovnikconcierge.com/pa...cticalinfo.htm

Geesh, you have to pay $8 to walk on the city walls?
