Personally, I would take a taxi. The first two trips to Paris, we used a taxi and didn't have any issues. Our last trip, which was this summer, we booked with Shuttle Inter. They were not there upon arrival and it took several phone calls before they showed up. We reconfirmed with the driver when we arrived at our apt for our return trip. Also reconfirmed via email during the week. Unfortunately, they did not show up. So we had to make a quick decision and hoof it to a taxi so we wouldn't miss our flight from waiting around so long. As it turned out, the taxi was only 39 euro, so a lot cheaper than the shuttle. The one thing that really bothered me though, was when we returned home I received an email from them saying their driver was there and we were not. I replied with the facts, and never heard another thing from them. As I have said in other threads, an apology would have gone a long ways, but they didn't. I also read another posters problem with them taking them to the wrong airport (this was on Fodors).

So just based on my experience, I will continue with taxis when we go back.

I have always taken a taxi from the airport and usually a shuttle service to the airport. For one or two people, the shuttle services cost less than a taxi. But when I have just arrived, I find it easier to just get in the taxi line. The times I sat in traffic, the fare has still come out to less than Shuttle Inter's price for a private car. I suppose it is possible to get stuck longer, but it hasn't happened yet.

The shared shuttle services have been fine for me and cost much less than Shuttle Inter. One I have used several times, originally on the recommendation of RentParis, with whom I rented an apartment, is World Shuttles at http://www.world-shuttles.com/

I think everyone should use what works best for them...that is what I do...
