Private car service: Krakow to Prague

Looking for a reliable, honest car service to drive us, midweek, from Krakow to Prague in September during the day. Are there any DON'T MISS, very compelling tourist spots along the way for a break?

Thanks so much!

You can always just take the safe & comfortable sleeper train, it saves a hotel bill and is a genuine European experience.

Krakow Glowny depart 22:02, Prague Hlavni arrive 07:22, city centre to city centre.

€54 for the ticket plus €28 sleeper supplement for a bed in a 2-bed sleeper with washbasin, shower at the end of the corridor.

Book at www.polrail.com

Between 14 April & 1 October 2017 there will also be a day train called the Cracovia, departs Krakow 10:42, arrives Prague Hlavni 17:39, fare €54, www.polrail.com or buy at the station.

Good train advice above. If you prefer a driver, I can recommend Mike’s Chauffeur (http://mike-chauffeur.cz). We used them from Prague to Salzburg, stopping in Cesky Krumlov, a few years ago. We had a friendly English-speaking driver who picked us up, waited for a few hours in CK while we toured and had lunch, and dropped us at our hotel in Salzburg. We would have had to change trains otherwise and thought this was a great and relaxing way to get from one place to the other.

Price online for Krakow-Prague is 8800-9800 CZK. I cannot speak to things to see on the way, as I have never been there.

If you're going during the day, take the train or bus or driver. The price Iwan2go quoted is basically $350+. If you have the scratch, and that's how you want to use it, enjoy. If not, take a train for $130 or so as the 61seat man says.

Lauding sleeper trains as a "European experience" is the train geek's sales pitch but the fact that you're thinking car first indicates (1) you're not into the alleged romance of taking a sleeper (it's a train, it stops with some frequency and you'd be sleeping in a car full of strangers in less than hotel-room accommodations), (2) you're not worried about the price of an extra night at the hotel.

Ok, you need to narrow down what you're on about. In another post you ask about the least expensive way to get to Prague from Krakow. There's no way a private car fits that requirement. What are you really looking for?
