private airport pick up in Prague

Hi
We want to have a car service meet us in the airport terminal of Prague airport and take us to the Prague Hilton ( NOT the one in old town)...as it will be our base prior to a river cruise in May.

Can someone recommend a reliable and reasonable private car service ( not a shuttle with tons of people nor do we want to wait in line for a taxi and get ripped off)..

All help will be greatly appreciated..

Thanks
Andy

I just use the one my hotel uses, that way it can even be billed to my room bill. I would imagine Hilton has some drivers they regularly work with. Also, that way you know the driver wants to keep in good relations with teh hotel, if they depend on their business.

I have stayed at the HOtel Pariz the last couple of times, was just there last summer. They currently charge 31 euro one-way or 55 euro roundtrip for their private car service (from the airport). They quote in euro but it is in koruna, of course, on the bill. So that's a benchmark for rates for you.

If Hilton doesn't have that service, I don't know the name of the company Hotel Pariz uses. That's pretty suspect as I've stayed in another hotel in Paruge a couple times that was not as high level as Pariz, and even they could arrange the car service, that's pretty typical in Prague for hotels to do that. The other hotel I've stayed at now charges 32 euro each way for airport transfer car service.

We used Prague Airport Transfers in May 2015. The driver picked us up from the airport and drove us to the apartment we had rented in Prague. He even waited with us for the apartment owner to answer the entry door to the building.

We paid after we had arrived at our apartment - no pre-pay required.

We are US citizens and booked this in advance from the states - even though it appears to be a UK website.

There were no glitches or unexpected expenses.

Why would taxis rip you off and why a private car would not ?
You can also rent a car - that is what I do when in Prague. Mostly. The rest of the time I take a taxi.

We used Prague Airport Shuttle when we visited Prague 5 years ago: http://praguetransport.com/ The driver spoke English (he was British) and it worked out very well for us. We were coming into Prague after a flight from the U.S. west coast with a long layover at Heathrow. It was good to have someone meet us, take care of the bags and get us to our hotel.

www.mike-chauffeur.cz

We used this service a few years ago and it appears the business has been
very successful and grown greatly since that time. You might want to check
their website. Happy travels!
