Prinsen or Owl Hotels?
 

Has anyone stayed at the Prinsen or Owl Hotel recently? I have reservations at both and am trying to decide which one to choose. I'm leaving in late May.

These are 1 block apart. There is some road construction in front of the Owl, new 'cobblestones' being laid. It isn't noisy at night just some boards you have to walk on in places. Just a mention. If taking a taxi, you might ask them to drop you at the Marriott, so they don't go around to the back end of the street, which adds about 3E to the drive.

No, we have stayed at AMS Terdam, which sits between them. I do like the area very much - it's quiet but very close to Leidseplein, taxi stand, tram lines, canal boat. Walkable to Museumplein.
About 1-2 blocks from Vondelpark.

Have eaten 'rijsttafel' at Puri Mas in the pedestrian/restaurant area of Leidseplein, and Hard Rock Cafe for jet-lag days. Also had Italian at restaurant in same area, Pepino's I think it was.

Haven't read comments on these two lately, have you? Maybe that will help you decide.
