Princess Diana Memorial/Fountain

Does anyone know where this is? Is this also known as the "Diana Playground"?

Thanks in advance,
Monica

It's in Kensington Gardens, across Bayswater Road from Queensway Tube station.

There is both a Princess Diana memorial playground AND a memorial fountain. The fountain is not at the playground - it's in Hyde Park near the Serpentine Lake, across the street from the Serpentine Gallery. Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are pretty much one big park, Kensington being the west portion and Hyde Park is the east portion, so you can easily walk from the playground to the fountain. A good place to find UK maps is the site www.multimap.com.

Robespierre's pda must be on the fritz. The fountain is not across from Queensway. As Daisy says that is where the playground is. And the fountain is between the Gallery and the Serpentine near the Alexandra Gate on the south side of Hyde Park.

That's the nice thing about our memories, Janis..they don't go on the fritz as much and rarely need batteries.
