Prices in Dubrovnik
10 hours in Dubrovnik from our cruise in September which means we will be buying lunch and perhaps admission to any museums, , etc. How do I figure how much $ to convert to their currency. Can anyone give me a "ball park" figure on prices of lunch, is there a price to walk the wall, Don't plan on buying things (well, at least I don't think I will be buying things). Is there an ATM somewhere near the port. can we walk from cruise ship terminal into old town or do we need to take a taxi which will add to how much of their currency we need.....thanks for any help

We are making the stop in October, so as far as I know:
-buses are 1.5E or 12K and need exact change -10E or 70K to walk the walls -cable car is 13E RT or 94K and can buy online Apparently you can only use K for the wall walk, E are widespread. Although I prefer to buy all tics online beforehand, I had read that due to fog sometimes the ships must skip the port. Not that much savings to buy online so waiting till we get there. whatsinport.com, shorebee.com and rome2rio.com might help and I got quite a bit of info by putting in my destination city here in fodors.com Destination or search in forums. |
Sorry, the above prices are not accurate. Do not bring Euros, do not double exchange and just use our many ATM machines to obtain Croatian Kuna. Euros are no longer widespread here, things have changed.
City wall - 100 Kuna Local bus - 15 Kuna (no foreign currency) Cable car - 100 Kuna Lunch - From 50 to 200 Kuna - fresh fish is sold by the kilo and very expensive always ask the weight first. Both city wall and cable car will accept credit cards. We hardly ever have fog here, but often very high winds and this year thunderstorms have been plentiful. |
Thank you. I was relying on what I had read and was planning accordingly so really appreciate the update.
