Priceline Query for London
When I am studying all the bids on Priceline for London, they are pretty much all for Mayfair or Kensington. When I look at the map, I see Marble Arch area which I am assuming is under Bloomsbury, Marble arch. It looks even better than Kensington. I must be missing something. Can someone help me?
|
The reason people don't bid for Bloomsbury so much is that the hotels there aren't necessarily as nice as the ones in Kensington and Mayfair, and also you might get a hotel on the edge of the Bloomsbury zone, which is more like Kings Cross.

Thank you WillTravel for that explaination. One more question, what does the amazon.com link mean when you are using priceline?
|
Lyban, I'm not sure what you mean by the amazon.com link.
Are you referring to the Amazing-Bargains.com link that they always mention at Bidding for Travel? The reason people refer to that is because the board moderators get a 2% commission on each Priceline hotel booking, so by using it you support the board. |
Yes, that is what I meant. Thank you for clearing that up for me.

although it was mentioned above, i assume that you know about www.biddingfortravle.com, which is the companion site to priceline and gives you lots of assistance with your bids in advance of making them...

Willtravel,
You wrote: The reason people refer to that is because the board moderators get a 2% commission on each Priceline hotel booking, so by using it you support the board. Does this mean if I were to go directly to Price Line instead of going through the amazingbargains web site I might save 2%? Mary |
Mary, no, you don't save 2% by not using that link. You could sign yourself up as a Priceline affiliate and set up a web site with its own Priceline link, and make 2% that way.
Some people are getting E-bay points from their Priceline bookings - see the Travel Bidding forum at http://www.Flyertalk.com/forum for more details. |
