Priceline Hotel Reservations

It looks like you cannot name the hotel you want. I need the Sheraton at Frankfurt airport. I don't want to bid on a hotel and then find out that it is off the airport premises as my husband has trouble walking and climbing in and out of vans.

In your case, definitely don't use Priceline.

Check http://www.gtahotels.com in case there's a good deal for an onsite airport hotel. Failing that, check all the usual sites.

That's correct. You CANNOT bid for a specific hotel with Priceline.

If you need a specific hotel Priceline is NOT for you.

That is correct, in the normal Priceline area, there is no way to specify your hotel. However, here are a few suggestions:

1. Go to www.biddingfortravel.com. THey list the hotels that have won in each city, and each area of the city. Priceline may have an 'airport' area of Frankfurt, and this list will tell you what hotels have been won in the past in that area. Perhaps the Sheraton is the only one on the list...

2. There is a 'specify your hotel' area of Priceline that is more expensive. I've found that other discount sites are as good, if not better, in the prices than this section.

Good luck!

It doesn't matter what the list at BiddingForTravel states. That's not a comprehensive list, and it's quite possible to get a hotel that's never shown up before. I have at least twice.

Just went to the biddingfortravel site. They do not list the Sheraton, however there are a couple possibilities... here are the hotels listed by area of Frankfurt:

It looks like if you bid for Frankfurt South and Airport area, in the 2 or 3 star section, you will get a hotel near the airport -- make sure to check mapquest or something similar to make sure they ARE near the airport. Good luck!

You might try laterooms.com or lastminute.com where you CAN choose your hotel and they often have good deals.
