Priceline

Although Priceline only guarantees a double occupancy room I have never run into trouble with my 2 kids here in the states. I am not sure about Europe? Italy to be specific. I have had difficulty finding hotels with more than three to a room so I am not sure how priceline would work there when I need a room for 4. Anyone have thoughts , insight on this? Thanks

You will only be guaranteed a room for 2 - but you can bid on 2 rooms.

I have stayed in very small rooms in Italy. I suggest you bid for 2 rooms.

If you're having trouble without Priceline finding rooms for 4, it seems very unlikely that it will be BETTER using Priceline.

When researching hotels for my family of 4, I find the Frommer's and Rick Steve's guide books useful since they will detail many quads in the hotel reviews.
