Priceline

Should I trust Priceline to get me from Rochester, NY to Madrid by a very specific date?
Thanks.

It's not Priceline that will get you there, but the airline that you hold the ticket on. There may be a couple of stops en route but those will add hours, not days.

By a date yes--not a specific time of day ON that date. You might do a search on the normal sites and see what kind of connections you may be looking at--I would imagine through NYC so it shouldn't be too complicated.

Go to www.biddingfortravel.com, read everything they have about airline bids and Priceline in general.

One caution about airline bidding is that you have to be flexible about the times. Read very carefully about the wiggle room they give themselves regarding arrival and departure times; if you need to arrive "on" Tuesday, July 16, I believe they allow themselves to get you there by 2 AM on Wednesday, July 17, or some such.

I'd strongly recommend that you tell them that you need to arrive on the date before the date you really need to be there!

I just got round trip airfare from Raleigh to Paris (1st week Sept) for $400 plus tax/fees on Priceline. It is a Delta flight with a reasonable itinerary. I could be wrong, but I think that most flights going to Europe leave in the evening and arrive the next morning anyway. I've used them several times and have had good luck.
