Premium Tours Review
Has anyone heard of them - are they any good? They operate tours, such as Jack the Ripper walk, Stonehenge, etc. in the London area.
|
I havent but have used London Walks many times (including Stonehenge and Jack the Ripper - both I enjoyed) www.walks.com
|
Thank you for the suggestion about London Walks - they were mentioned in Lonely Planet books.

Premium are one of three similar companies that offer day tours on full sized coaches to various parts of the UK, the others being Golden and Evan Evans. The tours all tend to be rushed but they will give you a flavour of somewhere different and most of the guides they use are good.
Premium tend to include slightly more and therefore the day is an hour or two longer than the other companies, worth bearing in mind if you have theatre tickets for that evening. |
Absolutely avoid! it's awful, they're unprofessional and rude.
Don't tour with them! We paid for the tour, we received confirmationa which assured hotel pick up. On the day we were ready at 7.30 a.m. in the hotel reception. They never showed up. The concierge boy called them and they suggested taking a cab to Victoria Station, which we did, although we realised that by the time we would be there, our bus was gone. When we got to Victoria Station they were unbelievable! They shouted at us, insulted us because we complained!! Terrible company, which ruined our journey! |
Terrible tour from beginning to end - Tour guide was rushing everyone, then literally saying "hurry, hurry" all the time. The whole group kept rolling their eyes, terrible Tour company, go with another - you will be thankful you did.

Most any of the large/crammed full coach tours will be similar. |
