pregnant in paris

I just found out I'm pregnant...and we have a week-long trip to Paris scheduled in 4 weeks! I know to avoid wine, unpasteurized cheese(s), pate, foie gras, etc...but is there anything else I should know? Any tips? Is it OK to travel this early in a pregnancy? Our tickets are non-refundable and we have been looking forward to this trip for almost a year...but I'm also a little scared of the unknown.

Hi t,

This early in a pregnancy should not be a problem.

Consult your phsician.

Speak to your OB/GYN who will most likely have a prepared list of do's and don't's that they can share with you.

Talk to your doctor for the best travel tips. You can travel until at least 6 months of pregnancy unless you're high risk for any reason.

My best advice is to not tire yourself out too much.

My sister was in the same situation, bring your own crakers and check with your obgyn if you can take gravol. Coming from experience you might be more tired then usual but you still can have a great time. Go to FOUCHON's patisserie on Place de la
Madeleine if you have a craving for chocolate.

Ira is right. Check with your doctor. Otherwise, you’ll be just fine.

Just in case, make sure you have some plain crackers and lemon drops. Don’t get too creative or adventurous when it comes to mealtime. Your stomach may or may not be able to tolerate it. Congratulations, it is a wonderful time in life, enjoy it.
