Prebook Day Tours in Iceland?

Hi Everyone, I'm considering a last minute trip to Iceland over the New Years holiday. Would I need to book the day trips/tours in advance? If so, how many days in advance? Should I wait until I'm there to book anything? Thanks for your help.....

Just keep in mind that there is only about 4.5 hours of daylight when you want to go. This is not Iceland's tourist season so you should be ok.

I would wait until arriving in Iceland to book a tour-as previously stated, your daylight hours will be short, plus weather concerns may prevent some tours from actually happening. ENJOY!

headed to iceland on friday morning... staying until monday (16-19 Feb)
where would you suggest that we book day tours once we're in iceland?

I booked ahead for the Blue Lagoon tour that picked me up at the airport and brought me to the Blue Lagoon and then to the hotel. I really enjoyed it and by doing so combined it with the ride into the city. We were only there one night so we didn't book anything else. We walked all around and went up the church tower for a great view of Reykjavik.
