The Museum of Communism-- I wasn't very excited about going, but it turned out to be fascinating, scary, funny and very moving.

Thanks for the great responses. We have much to investigate as we create our itinerary. What fun!

I loved the view of the Old Town, especially towers of the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, from the Old Town Square Clock Tower.

I also really enjoyed the castle complex, especially St. Vitus Cathedral. I have been fortunate enough to visit many of the famous cathedrals of Europe, and this was one of my favorites. Perhaps it was the early afternoon light flooding through the stained glass windows and painting the walls with patterns of vibrant color.

Note the stained glass windows by Mucha in St. Vitus.

I took a photo just like Delaine's description of the light coming through the windos and painting the walls with color!

My favorites:
1. Vyshrehrad, up on a hill overlooking Vlatava River, birthplace of Prague, & not as crowded as rest of Prague. Sts. Peter & Paul Cathedral & the beautiful National Cemetery are located here.
2. Drinking hot mulled wine that is sold directly from the restaurants windows. Delicious & hits the spot in the fall.
3. Walking across Charles Bridge at night.
4. Castle complex
5. Old Town Square
6. Mucha Museum
7. Communism Museum
8. Drinking Becherovka & a drink called "story".
9. Sitting at the sidewalks cafes & people watching.
10. Jewish cemetery & synagogues
11. Night at the Opera
12. Mozart Puppet Show.
