>RailEurope tickets require nothing other than boarding the train.

Nor do any other tickets.

She asked for easy, not the most price effective. Tough crowd on this post...

The easiest is simply to walk into the next best travel office in Prague and buy the tickets to Munich. Most younger people speak a measure of english.
It is still easier than ordering online.

I would go to Prague and buy the ticket at the station

but an aquaintance told me her story recently - she waited an hour in line (probably a bit exaggerated) and then could not communicate to the clerk - she said it was a nightmare. She was a novice traveler so it may sound so simply to veteran travelers but may not be to novices

that said i'd go to www.bahn.de and see it you can book it for them online and if not and they want to buy it in Prague prepare them by printing out the exact train details from the bahn.de site and then just have them hand that to the clerk or travel agent so there is no communication problem. Put two people on it and what class. That makes it easier.

Ok, getting nit pucky myself she did not ask for "easy" but rather how to do it.

You'll pay more if you use an outside agency like RailEurope but that would be the easiest way..pick up the phone, order the tickets and seat reservations, give them the credit card number and wait for the mail.

The cheapest way would be to wait and go to a travel agency in Prague (or get your hotel to help) and buy them there.

I would NOT go on my own to one of the stations...the chances of getting one of those less-than-friendly agents is too great IMO.

And yes, First Class may just very much BE 'worth it' considering there's somewhat more room and it will be less crowded than 2nd where the would-be ticket agents will be battling each other for seats (and probably bragging rights, too)..
Enjoy your trip and Prague.

Yes good point - i would highly recommend first class as well, especially with parents.

Price is not everything to consider and first class is much more comfy IME
