Prague to Croatia
 

Please suggest best method and approx cost for travel from Prague to Zagreb, or SPLIT. Plan to travel with a small group of young adults summer 2014.

Wait about 1 year. Timetables, low cost companies and fares will probably change a lot until then.

The train from Prague to Zagreb is 12 hours so I suggest you fly. You won't be able to get fares more than a year ahead.

Best method depends on how long will your trip last. Trawelling by bus (about 8 hours in one direction) might be the best option, much cheaper than plain, but if you are planning short trip, 2-3 days, go by plane(2 hours and about three times more axpensive)

Just flew in to Dubrovnik yesterday from Prague. It was about $275 USD each including taxes to fly on Australian air (that's roundtrip). Definitely the quickest way to go because we left our hotel in Prague at 9:00 and were checked in our apartment in Dubrovnik by 3:00. VERY short layover in Vienna but we made it. Train or bus seemed very complicated and took a lot of time. If money is a problem I'd recommend by air.
