Prague - Tickets for Opera, Puppet Shows and Laser Light Show

We'll be in Prague for 5 nights in May with a tour. We'd like to see an opera, puppet show and laser light show. Should we buy the tickets now on-line or wait until we get there? Thanks

You can almost always buy tickets to the puppet & laser shows the day of. If you are interested in the National or State theaters for opera, I would book ahead. www.travel.cz has links for entertainment, plus hotel rooms, etc...

I agree with the above advice. Your hotel may also be able to arrange tickets.

The Prague State Oper recommends online booking with bohemiaticket.cz. Did it last fall with about a month advance, and while they do charge some service fees, the tickets were properly delivered to the hotel before arrival.

There should be other similar services too.

Can't help with puppet show.

We saw Smetana's Bartered Bride at the National Theater last year, and I reserved the tickets well in advance on line. We picked up our tickets at the box office adjacent to the National Theater in the afternoon and went to the performance that evening.

If you attend an opera at the National Theater, after the performance go across the street to Cafe Slavia. It's a very old and charming cafe. We had pancakes (crepes actually with delicious fruit and whipped cream) and coffee.
