Prague-Salzburg-Vienna-Paris: Critique itinerary, please

Hi everyone. We're in the planning stages of a trip next April-May and would like any advice you can give. We only have a two week window, as my husband is teaching. We like gardens, architecture, walking, museums, wandering, relaxing. So far, it looks like this:

LAX-Prague, arrive Prague Friday, April 19th afternoon
Stay 4 nights at the Golden Door in Mala Strana
One day trip to Kutna Hora, the rest in Prague

Leave Tuesday, April 23 for Salzburg
I got a quote from Mike's Chauffeur to drive us there with a stop in Cesky Krumlov, which I thought was worth the money and convenience, not to mention seeing a beautiful village.
Salzburg April 23 for 3 nights
Stay at the Hotel Auersperg, across the river from the old town
Maybe a day trip to a nearby village, we can decide when we get there

Leave Friday, April 26th for Vienna, 5 nights
Train to Vienna, stay at the Altstadt, in the Neuberg/Spittelberg area
One day in the Wachau valley, and another perhaps the Vienna Woods, depending on the weather

Leave Wednesday, May 1 for Paris, 3 nights
Tentative booking with breakfast at the Hotel Brighton, 1st arron.
(We are not first-timers in Paris)

Look good?

As I mentioned on another thread, we are hoping to meet family in Paris - it wasn't in the original plan, but it would be great to do that. When I looked at flights, the best seemed to be from Vienna to Paris. If we changed the trip order to Prague-Vienna-Salzburg, we'd need to catch the plane from Munich, and those were more expensive, as well as less convenient. Does anyone have any other opinions or websites to help with that? I used Mobissimo to find the flight on Air Berlin/Niki.

Thanks very much, looking forward to your responses, as always.

Hi Iwan,

With the exception of not enough time in Paris, it is an itinerary I like.

Enjoy your visit.

I think your flight from Vienna to Paris works, as it's under two hours. The price is right. Great trip. www.inyourpocket.com/czech_republic/prague and www.inyourpocket.com/austria/vienna Information on two of the cities you are visiting.

Nice idea to have a car/driver between Prague and Salzburg. We did the train, which was okay in winter ...but would be great to have an option to see sites along the way if the weather is good.

BTW, Munich is now our preferred "transit" airport in Europe. It just seems to work so well, and the size is right. Big enough to have lots of connections, small enough to be able to make them! But not if it doesn't fit with your itinerary.

Haha, Ira, I almost wrote, "We are not first timers in Paris, Ira". I knew you'd see that. We were there for a week last year and the same in 2006. Wish we had more time!

I was about to say "ditto what Ira said" when I saw your reply! Otherwise looks good to me, too. Enjoy!
