Prague restaurants
All
We are taking a spur of the moment trip to Prague next week. I have been before but my husband has not and he is getting me out of town in case my candidate doesn't win the White House and I need to go off and mope for a bit. Anyway, I have seen lots of threads on good restaurants but they all seem to tout the great views and outdoor gardens. As we will be there the second week of November, I am thinking a great outdoor garden will be lost on us. Anyone have suggestions of good restaurants based on food and other ambiance in which the beautiful outdoors does not necessarily come into play? Thanks. taitai |

Pravda restaurant was great fun--very lively. Address is Parizska 17, one of the main streets leading away from the old town square.

this was a resturant I was in about 2.5 years ago ,the food is cooked over open grills and was very good ,there was also a small band playing Gypsy style music.i was there on a cold wet early march sunday evening and it was pretty quiet but i think with a reasonable crowd in there it would have a very nice atmosphere,i do know of some folk who were there earlier this year and enjoyed it very much.it is a bit out of the city center though. |

whilst I am on a roll can I mention these web sites.it really is a list of Beerhalls, brewery pubs and bars.not all do food but most do excellent Czech food ay reasonable prices, not high end resturants but great places for lunch or a cheaper alternative to the more classy resturants for evening meals.
U Medvidku U Vejvodu U Radnickych U Karlova Mostu Klasterni Pivovar are the places I favour more for food, all the places do superb beer. http://www.classiccitybrew.com/ http://www.praguepubs.co.uk/ |
