Prague Intercontinental Hotel
Does anyone know how to get discounts at the Intercontinental Hotel in Prague without having to prepay and without the ability to cancel?

Well you can simply call and ask.
But my impression is that Prague is short of hotel space - esp in upscale hotels - and that most run full most of the time - making discounts unnecessary to fill rooms. |
Just returned from this hotel and it was full. Just a note about the bedding: each side of the bed has a personal comforter in a duvet cover. One of our group members had to insist on getting a regular top sheet because the first night he had slept inside the duvet cover and found it quite tight--quite amusing, at least to us.

He slept INSIDE the cover, lol??!!! :-d
I've had the same set-up in all the hotels I've stayed in there, and in Amsterdam. I guess it makes it a lot easier for the maids to make up the beds in the morning, especially on days when the sheets are not changed (in non-5* hotels!) I kind of like the separate comforters, because you don't fight with your bed partner over who gets the cover! I've seen Intercontinental offered on Orbitz. I think in the off season, it might appear on more discount sites. |
If you join the Ambassador club for $150 US, you can get a free week-end night if you buy a week-end night. So, you basically get one night at $150, instead of the appx. $250-300/night. If you have time, you can apply for the Priority Club Credit Card for like 15-20,000 points. It takes 30-40,000 points for a free night. I am going to stay there in Nov- one night free with points, and another with the buy one get one offer. Oh- yes-- with the Ambassador Club you get a free room upgrade and water/fruit with your stay.
